Programme double - Cydemind et Karcius

Le groupe de métal progressif montréalais CYDEMIND sera de retour sur scène le vendredi 18 novembre 2022 pour célébrer la sortie de son nouvel album The Descent. L’événement se déroulera au Théâtre Plaza, à Montréal.Pour CYDEMIND, ce sera un premier retour sur scène depuis 2018. « On est vraiment excités (et stressés!) de rejouer devant un public, admet Camille Delage, pianiste du groupe. On s’était promis de ne plus rejouer avant d’avoir sorti du nouveau contenu. Avec la Covid, ça aura pris plus de temps qu’on pensait, mais on est finalement prêts! ».
On peut s’attendre à ce que la formation de prog québécois interprète plusieurs chansons de son nouvel album, The Descent, qui paraîtra sur toutes les plateformes numériques ainsi qu’en format physique le 4 novembre 2022.
CYDEMIND sera accompagné de KARCIUS, un autre groupe de rock progressif québécois. Le concert consistera en un programme double, c’est-à-dire que les deux groupes partageront la scène pendant plus d’une heure chacun. « Pour nous, c’est un honneur de jouer avec KARCIUS, raconte Alexandre Dagenais, drummer de CYDEMIND. C’est un band bien établi qui a sorti plusieurs excellents albums. En plus, on a tissé de bons liens avec Simon L’Espérance, guitariste du band, puisque c’est lui qui a mixé notre dernier album. Ce sera donc une belle opportunité de le côtoyer dans un autre environnement et de tripper musique ensemble! »
KARCIUS a lancé son nouvel album, Grey White Silver Yellow, le 18 mars dernier, tandis que CYDEMIND s’apprête à lancer son album, The Descent, le 4 novembre prochain.

Cydemind and Karcius host an album launch show at the Plaza Theater (Théâtre Plaza) The progressive metal band CYDEMIND will return to the scene on Friday, November 18th 2022 to celebrate their newly released album “The Descent.” The event will take place at the Plaza Theater (Théâtre Plaza) in Montreal.
For CYDEMIND, it will be their first return to the stage since 2018. “We’re really excited (and nervous!) to once again play in front of the public,” admits pianist/keyboard player Camille Delage; “We promised ourselves not to get back on stage before releasing new material. With Covid-19, it took much longer than expected, although we are finally ready!”
For this performance, the audience can expect songs mainly based off CYDEMIND’s upcoming release “The Descent,” which will be launched on all online platforms, as well as physical copies, on the 4th of November, 2022.
CYDEMIND will share the stage with KARCIUS, who are a Quebec based progressive rock band as well. The concert will consist of both bands sharing the headline, meaning both groups will play a full set of over one hour each.
“For us, it’s an honor to play with KARCIUS,”states CYDEMIND drummer Alexandre Dagenais; “they’re a band who are well established in terms of having released many excellent albums. Furthermore, we’ve generated good ties with Simon L’Espérance (KARCIUS guitarist) on the basis that he had mixed our upcoming album. Therefore, it’s a beautiful opportunity to include him in a change of scenery, and simply enjoy playing music together!”
KARCIUS had launched their new album titled “Grey White Silver Yellow” back in March 2022, and CYDEMIND is set to release “The Descent” on November 4th, 2022.
